Hello lovelies!!! I hope you are all having an awesomely productive week! As some of you might know, from my older posts that I have been job hunting since I got back home. One of the biggest issue I have had with the process, is the decision of where to focus my applications…here in Canada or other countries.

This is the untold truth or problem, if you might call it, of having lived or studied abroad. – The unquenchable feeling of knowing there is something more beyond your horizon and the desire of wanting to venture off…wanderlust

You find that because you have lived in a different country, you see more opportunities, potential lives/lifestyles you could live. I mean you still have to apply for jobs and make an effort to get what you want, but the fact is, you see them and are open to them. People who haven’t lived in a different country are less likely to consider an international career.

The question that comes after is, how is your family going to feel? The truth and reality is, it doesn’t matter how great the opportunities are, ones family will never truest be OK with you moving away to start a life. Yes, they’ll be happy that you’re getting what you want and have worked hard towards, but that happiness will likely not be as much as the sadness they feel.

At this point, its then up to you. Are you OK with that knowledge? Knowing that the family is not completely happy with your decision to move away. I have mentioned this in my post about ‘eating your cake and having it too‘, how technology has made communication a thousand times better than it used to be.

I will say on thing, I am 1000% for studying and working abroad…even if it’s only for a short while. The experiences you get, people you get to meet and the changes it makes to you as a person is absolutely and utterly unfathomable. If you ever get the chance to, do it! Just go for it! And trust me, you will never regret your decision.

I’ll leave it at that for now. The decision is yours. What would you do if you find yourself in this situation? if you are currently or have already made a decision as such, post your thoughts or decisions in the comment section below.

I do apologize for the big hiatus. I have been extremely busy lately guys that I haven’t been able to find the time to write. On the contrary, I have been posting more on my Instagram, so make sure to follow on there. Being said, Fashion Week is coming soon, you can be sure that I’ll let you in on my favorite collections. I also plan on doing a little favorites posts on the men’s fashion week, so be sure to stay posted. Till next time, loads of love.
